Program Overview
The Doctor of Health Education (D.H.Ed.) complements the University’s mission of encouraging its constituencies to become leaders in improving community health and wellness with a comprehensive appreciation of the whole patient while helping to create the best healthcare educators in the world.
This program is one of very few online doctorate degrees in health sciences designed to challenge you to examine your individual roles and responsibilities within the current state of healthcare education. In addition to enjoying the convenience of taking your health education courses online, as a graduate, you will be recognized as an innovative leader in educating patients, students, and peers, as well as achieving excellence in policy development, program design, management, implementation, and evaluation of local issues.
The D.H.Ed. is a 94-credit-hour, 20-course program. All class work is completed 100 percent online, and students are never required to come to campus to complete the degree.
